Do You Know Who You Are?
Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV) “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the Earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the Earth.”
You are a spirit, you live in a body on this Earth, and you are not an accident. Please say the following aloud, “I, _____________, am a spirit being made in God's likeness and in His image. I am made to rule and reign on this Earth as according to Genesis 1:26-28.”
If you are a born-again believer, you know this statement is true. You are God's holy, righteous, and sanctified living child. Every spirit has the right of choice, and as Godly men and women, we have not been taught the truth as to who we are. Therefore, we have had our right to choose taken away, and we have no choice but to believe in a lie about our greatness.
Religion wants you to confess that you are a lousy no-good sinner. That is acceptable in religion, however, what do you think is acceptable to God? He said you are made in His likeness. Who do you believe – religion or your daddy? Religion will tell you that you will be puffed up and get the “big head” or think you are better than everyone else. Lies, lies, lies. When you confess who you are about yourself, you also acknowledge it about others. Why? Because true acknowledgement of who you are means you have to acknowledge it in all of God's Children.
There is a belief in unworthiness in religion – belief that we haven't really obtained that “level of spirituality” yet. The truth is, there is nothing to be obtained. You are already there. Your father and creator is God. Just live that truth. All of His power is invested in you. All the wealth of heaven is yours. The wisdom of God is on the inside of you. Go forth and reign in this life.
