Love Is:
Overcoming – Victorious – Healthy
In Mark
12:30-31 Jesus instructs us to love God and our neighbors as we love ourselves. In James 2:8, we are told that this is the
royal law of the scripture and even if this is the only law we keep, we are
doing well.
We
will never walk in true Love toward neither God nor our neighbor until we
forgive, forget, and put the past behind us.
Philippians 3:13 tells us that we must capture this thought with all our
mind: Forget what lies behind, and
reaching forward to what lies ahead.
Love,
God’s love, is not selfish. It always
prefers the other person and puts them first, and it never thinks of itself before
others. When God told us to love one
another, He did not mean to love with words alone, nor with any pretense;
instead He meant for us to also show our Love for one another through our
actions. Our actions should always show our Love for one another.
You
must walk in Love toward others, even when they do you wrong. Just keep in mind that walking in Love
towards others pays rich dividends! Purposing in your heart to walk in Love will
enable many benefits. If you walk in Love and forgiveness, the Word will judge
you with Love and forgiveness; this will keep you from having medical bills to
pay. While this is all true, you still have
to purpose in your heart to walk in Love.
It does not just happen automatically.
When
you discern the Lord’s body – not only the physical body of Jesus that was
broken for your physical healing, but the spiritual Body of Christ as well, you
can then be strong and healthy rather than weak and sickly. By doing this you
can fulfill the number of your days!
There
have been many times that I have witnessed those needing healing receive it
once they made the necessary adjustments in their hearts and attitudes. If they had not made the necessary
adjustments, I have no doubt that some of them would have died.
More
than just healing, God has also provided for you something more: the ability to walk in health. The way to
receive health is to walk in Love.
